DOris richter
Doris Richter, born in Vienna, graduated with a Master´s degree in History of Art from the University of Vienna and holds a diploma in Cultural Management. She joined Sotheby´s in 2011 as Expert Liaison, Event and Exhibition Manager and was appointed Deputy Director in 2017. She works closely with the international teams in London, New York, Paris and Hong Kong, with a focus on Modern and Contemporary Art, 20th Century Design, Old Master Paintings and Sculpture.
Together with Mag. Andrea Jungmann she is curating “Sotheby´s Artist Quarterly”, a programme of quarterly exhibitions presenting emerging artists who live and work in Austria. Prior to joining Sotheby´s Doris Richter was working for various galleries and museums (e.g. Georg Kargl Fine Arts, Galerie Ulysses, Essl Museum).
