ulrike königshofer
Ulrike Königshofer is working as a visual artist in Vienna. She investigates our viewing habits and explores different facets of human perception, using photography, new media and installation. Born in styria / Austria in 1981, she graduated at the Ortwein School for Arts and Crafts in Graz and the University for Applied Arts in Vienna. Afterwards she spent artist residencies in Paris, New York and Newfoundland / Canada.
She held solo shows at the “Austrian Cultural Forum New York” and the “Halle für Kunst und Medien” in Graz and built the installation “The See Through” at the Kunsthaus Graz, amongst others. Her work was most recently awarded with the Erste Bank MoreVALUE award, the viennacontemporary Artproof production grant and a scholarship for fine arts by the austrian state. Her last monograph with the title “On Perception” was published by the “Verlag für Moderne Kunst” in 2017.
